Welcome to the Inaugural Hershey Half Marathon, sponsored by Capital BlueCross. This race through Chocolate Town U.S.A will benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Children’s Hospital. The course will take participants on a 13.1 mile tour of Hershey, PA with several memorable locations along the way including the World’s Largest Chocolate Factory, The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Factory, Chocolate Avenue and more!
Event Overview
Starting and ending at Hersheypark Stadium, participants will race 13.1 miles through Hersheypark and past cocoa-scented candy landmarks including Milton S. Hershey’s High Point Mansion, streetlights shaped like Hershey’s Kisses, and the largest chocolate factory in the world. Water/aid stations will be available approximately every 2 miles, including a unique Chocolate Aid station, to assist runners toward the finish line. Cash prizes will be awarded. All participants must be 14 and older.
Proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network which supports the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital by purchasing state-of-art equipment and supporting vital programs. All dollars raised locally stay local. Throughout the route, look for our Miracle Children from the Children’s Hospital as they cheer you on!
Additional Information:
Participants will also receive complimentary admission to Hersheypark the night before the race, with a large section of the park reserved exclusively for runners and family members.
